At the Law Office of Sylvia A. Goldsmith, we believe in what we do and in the causes for which we fight. We trust that through conviction, perseverance and good old-fashioned hard work, we can achieve justice for our clients.
Attorney's Fees & Costs
The Law Office of Sylvia A. Goldsmith takes cases on a contingency fee basis. A contingency fee arrangement is a method that allows consumers to obtain legal services even if they do not have money to pay a lawyer up front. THAT MEANS YOU PAY NOTHING UNLESS WE RECOVER MONEY FOR YOU!
We do not offer representation on an hourly basis, i.e., where you pay us a set rate for each hour we spend working on your case. As a result, we do not typically take cases to defend consumers who have been sued by a debt collector unless we believe there is a possibility that the debt collector has violated some state or federal law which could give rise to a counterclaim against the debt collector and the potential for you to recover money damages. In such instances, representation on a contingency fee basis would be offered. On the rare occasion that we defend a consumer in a debt collection lawsuit that does not include a counterclaim for abusive debt collection practices, we would only agree to take the case upon payment of a flat fee paid up front by the consumer.

The Law Office of Sylvia A. Goldsmith takes the privacy of your information very seriously. We collect no information about you through this website except to the extent necessary to respond to your request for a consultation or credit report review. We never sell or allow any sort of access to your private information to any person or entity outside our firm.

In addition to representing clients residing in Ohio, the firm may also represent clients who reside in other states.
